There are some 70 years of archives of radio and TV broadcasting materials that could be re-used and re-broadcast over different technologies. The largest single archive available is that of the British Broadcasting Corporation (the BBC) in Britain . However, in order to re-broadcast this material on new technologies, it has to be converted to a digital medium, which will take around 10 years work.
